Almond Chu

b. 1962, Hong Kong

Almond Chu is a fine art and commercial photographer and the founder of Hong Kong’s pH5 Photo Group. His works have been exhibited extensively around the world. In 1993, Chu was awarded the Agfa Fellowship Young Photographer Award by Asian Cultural Council. In 2015, he was nominated for the Prix Pictet.

Chu’s work is collected by The Pushkin State Museum of Fine Arts (Moscow, Russia); Hong Kong Museum of Art; Guangdong Museum of Art (Guangzhou, China); University Museum and Art Gallery of the University of Hong Kong; Deutsche Bank Collections, among others.

Chu currently lives and works in Hong Kong.
